What is Commercial Demolition?

Commercial Demolition can basically be defined as selective or complete demolition of a commercial property. These properties can consist of everything from a simple retail or business office remodel to a large scale commercial building removal. Demolition is usually done when a building is no longer safe to occupy in its current condition, renovated for needed updates or the new tenant requires a different layout from the previous. Complete demolition is usually necessary to make way for a new building, parking area, etc.

Recycling and Waste

As we all know, a larger demolition project equals a larger quantity of waste produced.  In the current age of environmental awareness it is important to have the knowledge of which materials have salvage or recycling value. Any material that can be diverted from our overcrowding landfills by salvaging and reselling or recycled for profits not only benefits our environment, it saves you money! A few items that have salvage value are doors, windows, HVAC units, fire suppression equipment, electrical components, and plumbing fixtures. Sever items that have recyclable value include different types of metal, wiring, concrete (in certain areas), and structural brick.
